On July 24, 2017, Mr. Hon. Susil Premajayanth, Minister of Science, Technology and Research of Sri Lanka,Professor Srimal Fernando, Chairman of National Science Foundation of Sri Lanka, Professor of the University of Illinois,USA, and Professor S. Sivananthan, CEO of EPIR Technology, USA,Visited to Advanced Solar Power (Hangzhou) Inc.
Accompanied by General Manager Wu Ben, the Minister and his party visited the production workshop and product showroom of ASP,Afterwards, the two sides exchanged views on cooperation on clean energy projects. During the symposium, Chairman Wu Xuanzhi introduced the development of Advanced Solar Power (Hangzhou) Inc. and the related situation of the photovoltaic industry to the guests. The two sides also conducted in-depth discussions on the issues of the Belt and Road Initiative, renewable energy development, and large-scale photovoltaic power station construction.
Officials and scientists from Sri Lanka, the United States, and Germany, including Prof. M.A.K. Lakshman Dissanayake of Sri Lanka National Basic Research Institute, and Prof. Rahula Anura Attalage, Vice President of Moratuwa University, visited the delegation.Relevant leaders of ASP also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Minister Susil expressed his high appreciation for the production line equipment and processes independently developed by Advanced Solar Power (Hangzhou) Inc., and expressed his strong appreciation for products such as cadmium telluride thin-film solar cell modules, transparent curtain wall modules, and photovoltaic tiles independently developed by Advanced Solar Power (Hangzhou) Inc. He was also interested in the excellent power generation performance of cadmium telluride thin film solar cell modules. The two sides agreed that specific and pragmatic exchanges and cooperation on clean energy project cooperation will be carried out in the future.
The next day, accompanied by the general manager of ASP Wu Ben, the minister and his party visited one of the investors of Advanced Solar Power (Hangzhou) Inc.—Zheneng Group's agricultural-optical complementary project and large-scale ground power station project.
